Home, Appearance, and Accessibility
Home is a view of your library and recent listening, not another copy of the music. Recently added, recently played, continue listening, top tracks, and review cards need imported tracks or local history. An empty card may simply mean there is no matching data yet.
Understand Home
Section titled “Understand Home”Import and play a few tracks with Quick Start, then return to Home. Open a track, album, or history card and check that it leads to the expected item. Recently added and recently played are different timelines. See History for individual records. Home animation is not proof of actual audio output; the player and native playback status are better signals.
Themes and sidebar
Section titled “Themes and sidebar”Settings -> Appearance offers light, dark, system, and theme presets. Current fresh settings start in light with the classic preset; scheduled switching is off. Choose a built-in preset first and inspect lists, dialogs, the player, and lyrics for readability. Then edit a custom theme one property at a time. If contrast suffers, revert to a preset.
The sidebar can change order, visibility, auto-hide, or icon-only behavior. If an entry disappears, expand the sidebar and inspect hidden routes before resetting its layout. Workshop themes require subscription, validation, and an explicit Use action; see Steam Workshop and Theme Authoring.
Wallpaper and type
Section titled “Wallpaper and type”App wallpaper, lyric wallpaper, and album artwork are separate assets. The appearance panel can choose local images or supported video, then adjust scale, blur, brightness, and UI opacity. The wallpaper-enabled setting can be on without a custom file being selected. Portrait layout may use a separate asset. Video background can pause under its selected strategy.
Main, Chinese, and fallback fonts have separate controls. Try size, line height, and text depth before importing a new font. Main UI typography does not rewrite audio tags or automatically set lyric fonts.
Accessibility
Section titled “Accessibility”Reduce motion, high contrast, eye comfort, UI scale, always-visible focus, and screen-reader announcements can be enabled individually. If text is small, adjust scale or font size. If wallpaper competes with text, darken or blur it. If motion is uncomfortable, reduce motion and inspect lyric effects separately. Keep a readable built-in theme available while experimenting. See Settings and Enabled by Default.
